The Problem
In the United States 68% of our students do not read at the proficient level, and three out of four special education students never recover enough to enjoy reading success. Although teachers are often blamed, this problem is rather the fault of defective reading instruction methods. Hard-working and compassionate teachers bravely do their best to help struggling students, but they are gravely limited by the methods prescribed by our teacher-training institutions.
